Once the seed of imagination and possibility came knocking, all I had to do was not get in the way.  Easy said than done.  Juana Simona started out as an idea on building a center where I could create art all day, everyday.  Then, I wanted a garden and chickens.  Living in tight knit community of farmers, I decided to join the movement to take care of the land.

DIY Chicken Coop: "A" frame
A pyramid, an "A" frame.  I fell in love with it. Currently, Belina and Guera live here giving eggs when they please.  Belina is a tough cookie and Guera is an escape artist.  Making the "A" frame chicken coop from scratch was not easy, but well worth it.  Here are the materials I used to construct it:

(17) 2in x 4in x 8ft Lumber
(5) 2in x 4in x 8ft Lumber
(2) 2in x 6in x 8ft Lumber
(2) 2in x 6in x 8ft Lumber
(2) 1fin x 2in x 8ft Lumber
(1) 1in x 2in x 4ft Lumber
(1) 1in x 2in x 6ft Lumber

8 wheels
4 hex bolts
6 hinches
5 braces
3 locks
133ft of wire mesh

Many thanks to my brother and my sister-in-law for their intelligence and skills (also, their power tools).
